A QC photo is warehouse evidence, not a beauty shot and not a certificate of authenticity. Its value comes from answering a question that changes your next action.
What the standard QC service covers
Current Superbuy public guidance states that three standard photos are taken after warehouse inspection. They can confirm the broad product type, color, quantity and obvious visible condition. They are not guaranteed to show a measurement, hidden component, size label, close-up stitch or custom angle.
Use an evidence ladder
- Compare the listing with the variation you ordered.
- Use the standard photos to confirm broad identity and visible condition.
- Request one detailed image only when an unresolved fact could change the decision.
- Approve, exchange or return before the relevant after-sales deadline.
Ask one question per paid photo
A vague request such as “take more pictures” often produces another angle that still does not answer the concern. A stronger instruction identifies the subject, viewpoint and success condition: “Place the removable insole beside a ruler, photograph it directly from above, and keep both ends and the centimeter marks visible.”
| Product | High-value request |
|---|---|
| Shoes | Insole length beside a ruler; size label; toe-box symmetry. |
| Hoodies | Chest width; embroidery close-up; wash tag. |
| Bags | Hardware, zipper, lining and strap attachment. |
| Electronics | Model label, plug type and supported power-on proof. |
Separate objective defects from preference
A wrong size, missing part, broken component, stain or model mismatch is objective evidence. A color that appears different under warehouse lighting may be a preference question. For uncertain color, request a neutral-light image with a white or gray reference rather than relying on a single processed seller photo.
Set the return threshold in advance
Define what would make you return the item before the photos arrive. Examples include the wrong labeled size, a measurement outside a stated range, missing hardware or visible damage larger than a chosen threshold. This reduces endless photo requests for details that would not actually change the outcome.
Approve, investigate or return
Approve when the evidence meets the threshold. Investigate when one unresolved detail matters. Return when the mismatch is already clear. The investigate category should be temporary; it is not an invitation to collect decorative photographs.
Frequently asked questions
What should I check first in Superbuy QC photos?
Confirm the exact ordered variation, quantity, visible condition and any feature that would make you return the item.
When is a paid detail photo worth it?
Buy one when a specific unanswered fact—such as a measurement, label or missing part—would change approve versus return.
Do QC photos prove authenticity?
No. Warehouse images are evidence of the visible product and condition, not a certificate of authenticity.
